OVERVIEW

Delish2Go is a food delivery service that introduces people to fantastic restaurants by providing them with fantastic meals. Additionally, it provides other services like pharmacy medicine and liquor delivery.

The goal is to provide people with an easier-to-use platform so they may buy a variety of goods from one platform from the convenience of their homes or offices.

Role:
  • Role: UI/UX Designer and conducted User tester.
  • Timeline: 5 Months
  • Team: Kelvin Musyoka– Solo Project
Approach:
  • I was able to pinpoint some of the issues I’ve had as a user of various food delivery applications. Additionally, I conducted some research with users of various applications, gathered their feedback, and designed a solution to fulfill the needs of all users.

Design Process

Challenges
  1. Despite the abundance of food delivery apps, the majority of them still fall short of users’ expectations.
  2. Among the difficulties encountered are:
  • Most food apps do not display delivery driver contact information so that users can get in touch with them.
  • Lack of restaurant reviews from prior consumers who had placed their orders from a certain restaurant.
  • Not able to integrate other services, such as alcohol delivery and pharmacy medication.
  • The information and product layout of the majority of them are poorly designed, which results in users taking a long time to find what they’re looking for.
  • Social login absence.
Solutions
  1. I extensively collaborated with some of the users to develop ideas that would enhance user needs and experience.
  2. I was able to come up with numerous ways to address the needs of the users by keeping their wants in mind.
  3. This comprises:
  • Having social logins will make it easier for consumers to log in quickly and connect their accounts to their social media profiles.
  • Displaying feedback from past diners from the eatery.
  • Users will find it very helpful if delivery services for alcohol and pharmacies are added.
  • additionally, at last, provide a streamlined and clear user experience.

Pain points

Not having the delivery driver’s info, will be helpful to them because sometimes they order at night, so they need to be aware of the driver who will be doing the delivery.

There are no restaurant reviews from previous customers who have ordered from a particular restaurant.

  • Name: Mercy Mwekali
  • Age: 30
  • Family: Married
  • Occupation: Software Engineer

Mercy is a professional with a job. Her husband works in the same field, and they are married. Since they both work long hours and arrive home late, they rarely have time to make meals and instead, choose to order takeout. Additionally, they frequently need to visit the pharmacy to pick up medications to help them receive drugs that will help them due to their exhausting long hours of labor.

Goals
  • Gets food items with ease.
  • Make the write decision after reviewing previous customer feedback.

Sketch

I sketched out every concept I had in my head as well as information I found in my study on other applications that provided the same services.

Social Logins

I was also able to add social logins, which will let users access the application even faster if their mobile devices have already auto-saved their login details.

Home Page

Once you’ve added the setting to your location point, you’ll be taken to the app’s main page, where you’ll find sections for the search bar, special food items, other services like pharmacy and liqueur delivery, top-of-the-week food (which is based on the most popular food orders), and restaurants. near you. Users should be able to make decisions more quickly by using the home page rather than scrolling excessively or switching between pages to find what they’re looking for.

Customer review & Courier Details

Restaurant Customer review

One has the option to read other customers’ reviews of the food item or the restaurant overall while looking for the food item they are looking for. A user will benefit from this while deciding what to order. With this feature, all restaurants will be forced to provide the best food and service in order to avoid negative reviews that would result in a loss of business.

Courier Information

Once an order has been placed, it is possible to track it as well as hunt for a courier and share their information, such as name and license plate number, while doing so. Before or after the order is ready, one can call or speak with the courier to get clarity on the location or the order details.

Menu page & Search Bar

The major goal of the menu page is to display the range of food products on one page in several parts. This will make it easier for users to navigate through the app, and also, one can use the search bar, which has been organized into categories for user-friendliness.
